What type of syncing does Evandry provide?

Evandry uses the industry standard, YesLaw (a Sanction partner), to sync deposition videos to ASCII or text transcripts provided in electronic format by court reporters. Videos are synced to one of two different formats: YesLaw DVD and YesLaw CD. A free demo is available by request.

A YesLaw DVD can be played back on any standard television DVD player and most computers with DVD players. The video is also of a higher quality than the YesLaw CD. The transcript can be viewed as a subtitle while the video plays. From YesLaw DVD, video clips can be exported to MPEG-2, MPEG-1 or WMV files for use in other trial software. A computer with a DVD drive will be needed for playback of these new clips.

A YesLaw CD is similar, but uses MPEG-1 video. So, quality is diminished slightly. Also, the YesLaw CD will NOT playback in a standard television DVD player.

How much video will fit on a single DVD or CD?

A YesLaw DVD will hold approximately 3 hours of video. A YesLaw CD will hold 2 hours of video.

Longer videos can be placed on a YesLaw DVD-ROM (up to 8 hours), but with a significant loss in video quality. Also, the video will no longer be playable on a standard television DVD player. It will need to be played on a computer with a DVD player.

How quickly can I get my synced deposition back?

Our editors begin working the moment your video deposition is received. Most videos are synced the same day and sent out that evening. In extreme cases, such as with an unusually large amount of video content, you will be notified immediately when you can expect to receive your completed videos.

Evandry ships all packages through Federal Express unless otherwise requested. Our free shipping is for FedEx 2day. We also offer FedEx Priority Overnight shipping for $15 more.

What are the benefits of an synced deposition?

A synced deposition can be searched quickly for any keywords or phrases. This can ease the burden of searching hours of depositions for that one crucial statement. Then, selections can be made from the video by highlighting text on-screen, and exporting them as a separate video clip in an MPEG-1 or WMV file. This is perfect for use in other software such as PowerPoint.  In addition, synced transcripts are compatible with Sanction, TrialDirector and LiveNote.

Also, YesLaw allows you to share annotations with other YesLaw users, use color coded highlights, and attach exhibit links, helping you build your case.

The software is easy to use, free, and includes support if necessary. A free demo is available by request.

Where can I playback a synced deposition?

A YesLaw DVD will playback in any standard television DVD player. It should also play in any computer with a built-in DVD player.

A YesLaw CD will only play back in a computer with a CD/DVD player built in. It will not play on most standard television DVD players.

A YesLaw DVD-ROM will only play back in a computer with a DVD player built in. It will not play on most standard television DVD players.

What will be returned to me in the final product?

Your final package will include:

  • your edited, custom labeled YesLaw DVDs or CDs in a unique case.
  • your original deposition video(s).
  • an invoice for the services rendered.

Evandry keeps the electronic deposition transcript. This is for any follow up syncing. Because we keep all synced videos on file, we can easily make any changes later. It only takes a phone call or e-mail

Also, additional copies are available for $20 per disc.

How much does your syncing service cost?

To put it briefly, $100 per deposition hour, one hour minimum. After that, it is billed on each quarter hour.

However, I encourage you to view our Syncing Rates portion of the site. There you will find out how our rates compare with the competition.

Additional copies are then available for $20 per disc.

What other legal software is YesLaw syncing compatible with?

YesLaw CD and YesLaw DVD generate synced transcripts that are compatible with Sanction, TrialDirector and LiveNote.

Furthermore, YesLaw CD/DVD can export video into a MPEG-1, MPEG-2 or WMV file for use in other popular software title such as PowerPoint.
